Right to Cancel or Modify

Across the Bridge Scholarship reserves the right to change or end the program at any time. We may also disqualify an entrant and close their account if we believe they are misusing the program, violating these rules, or breaking any applicable law.

Scholarship Details

Category Details
Eligibility Open to legal residents of the 50 U.S. states and D.C. who are 17 years or older at the time of entry. All federal, state, and local laws apply.
Entry Period Annually from December 1 at 12:00:01 AM ET until December 31 at 11:59:59 PM ET. The program reopens the following November 1. Applicants may enter each year without limit.
How to Enter Visit https://bridgeendowment.org/scholarship-application, complete the application, and submit. Limit: One (1) entry per person, email address, or IP address per entry year.
Value Unless otherwise stated, one eligible applicant will be awarded $1,000 after review. Selection is based on alignment with the scholarship's mission and criteria.

Selection and Verification Process

  1. Selection: Entries are evaluated based on the essay submitted during the application window by a Scholarship Administrator. All decisions are final.
  2. Notification: Winners will be contacted via email.
  3. Required Documents: To receive the award, winners must sign and return a Liability Waiver and an IRS W-9 Form (if required), and provide a mailing address (for check payments) and Social Security number.
  4. Payment: Payments are typically distributed within 30–45 days after all verification is complete.
  5. Taxes: Scholarship awards are reported to the IRS. Winners are responsible for paying any applicable taxes.
  6. Disqualification: If a winner does not comply with these requirements, they may be disqualified, and an alternate winner may be chosen.

Legal and Administrative

  • Disputes: Unless prohibited by law, all disputes related to the Scholarship must be handled individually (not through class action) and resolved in a Delaware court. Both parties waive the right to a jury trial for any claims.
  • Privacy: By entering, applicants agree that Across the Bridge Scholarship may send updates, offers, or information from us or trusted partners. Personal information is handled according to our Privacy Policy.
